Pixel Places I’d Love to Visit The Bonus, Bonus Round – #NBI2015Safari

Well, Murf threw open the floodgates today and since there is one category left that I haven’t used, Landscapes, I figured I’d add a shot for it. This one was amazingly hard to narrow down to one choice. In the end, I picked a game I hadn’t featured yet and an environmental effect that blew me away the first time I saw it. A screen shot really can’t do justice to the amazing worlds in which we play.

If you haven’t played Dragon Age: Inquisition yet, you haven’t seen how much the game designers surpassed themselves on making some gorgeous pixels for you to visit. The world is stunning and feels alive. This hit me especially hard the first time I visited the Sword Coast and saw the water surging. It actually gave me a slight sense of vertigo at first. The environmental and spell effect animations are amazing and well worth a visit.
